1. Perform ghusl thoroughly, as one does for the obligatory ghusl, and apply perfume.
2. Put on the ihram garments; for men, these consist of an unstitched upper garment and a lower garment. Women may wear any permissible clothing.
3. Recite the Talbiyah from the time of entering ihram until beginning Tawaf.
4. Complete Tawaf by circling the Ka‘bah seven times, beginning at al-Hajar al-Aswad and ending at al-Hajar al-Aswad.
5. Perform two rak‘ahs of Salah behind Maqam Ibrahim.
6. Perform seven rounds of Sa‘i between the hills of Safa and Marwah, beginning at Safa and ending at Marwah.
7. Men should shave their heads or shorten their hair, while women should shorten their hair.
