Where is the Miqat, and why is it important?

The Miqat is the designated boundary from which one must enter into Ihram with the intention of performing Hajj or Umrah. It is obligatory to enter into Ihram before crossing the Miqat. For travelers coming from Bangladesh, Yalamlam is generally the designated Miqat.
