Two types:
(a) The Miqat of time,
(b) The Miqat of place. The Miqat of time for Hajj is the months of Shawwal, Dhul-Qa‘dah, and Dhul-Hijjah. According to many, the period from the month of Shawwal until the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah is referred to as the months of Hajj. On the other hand, Umrah may be performed during any month, day, or night of the year.
