We were performing the standing at Arafah outside the specifically designated area. Ibn Mirba al-Ansari came to us and said, “I am the Messenger of Allah’s representative to you. He has said: Stay at the sites of the Hajj rituals, for you are following the tradition of your father Ibrahim.”[1] This means that Ibrahim (peace be upon him) performed the standing at Arafah, and accordingly, we do so as well.
