    Du‘a for boarding a vehicle

“In the name of Allah; and all praise is due to Allah. Glorified and Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, whereas we could not have brought it under our control. And surely, to our Lord we shall return. All praise is due to Allah, all praise is due to Allah, all praise is due to Allah. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. O Allah! You are Glorified and Exalted; I have wronged myself, so forgive me. For there is none besides You who forgives sins.”

    The supplication for travel

“Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. Glory be to the One who has subjected this to us, for we could never have subdued it ourselves. And indeed, to our Lord we shall surely return. O Allah! We ask You on this journey for righteousness and piety, and for deeds that please You. O Allah! Make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance for us. O Allah! You are our Companion on the journey and the Guardian of our family. O Allah! We seek refuge in You from the hardships of travel, from witnessing distressing sights, and from an adverse return concerning our wealth and family.” --- (The following part is to be added when returning from the journey) “We return, repenting, worshipping, and praising our Lord.”

  3. 3

Dhikr upon returning from a journey

“There is no true deity except Allah alone, with no partner; to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise; and He has power over all things. We are those who return, repent, worship, and praise our Lord. Allah has fulfilled His promise, helped His servant, and alone defeated all the opposing confederates.”
