(1) Even if it is delayed, you must reach Muzdalifah and pray Maghrib and ‘Isha there, not before reaching it. However, it is not permissible to delay these two prayers until after midnight, unless there is a valid excuse.
(2) Perform the prayers in the correct order. That is, first perform the three obligatory rak‘ahs of Maghrib, followed immediately by the two obligatory rak‘ahs of ‘Isha. Perform Witr, and do not omit the Sunnah prayer of Fajr either.
(3) Give the adhan only once for these two prayers. However, the iqamah must be given separately for each prayer.
(4) The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not perform any voluntary or Sunnah prayers at Muzdalifah. You should not perform any either.
(5) Go to sleep as soon as you have finished performing the prayers so that you can actively carry out the activities of the following day.
(6) On that day, perform Fajr at its earliest time while it is still dark. Perform the two Sunnah rak‘ahs along with the two obligatory rak‘ahs. Then stand near “Mash‘ar al-Haram,” facing the qiblah, and continue making du‘a and supplication with your hands raised. There is no problem if you are unable to come here. You may stand anywhere in Muzdalifah and make du‘a.
