“Mash‘ar al-Haram” is the name of a mountain. It is located in Muzdalifah. There is also a mosque here. The things pilgrims should do here are:
(1) Stand near Mash‘ar al-Haram facing the Qiblah,
(2) Recite the takbir,
(3) Recite tasbih and tahlil; that is, say “Subhanallah,” “Alhamdu lillah,” and “La ilaha illallah.”
(4) Engage in dhikr, and
(5) Pray wholeheartedly to Allah Most High,
(6) With humility, submissiveness, and reverence, ask the One worthy of worship for whatever you desire. In particular, pray for your parents, wife, sons and other children, loved ones, and relatives as well.
(7) It is recommended to raise both hands in supplication when praying.
It is recommended to continue supplicating in this manner from after the Fajr prayer until the sky becomes light. If, due to the crowd, one cannot go near “Mash‘ar al-Haram,” one should stand anywhere in Muzdalifah and supplicate in this manner.
