The area between Safa and Marwah is called the Mas‘a. The Mas‘a is 394.5 metres long and 20 metres wide. The ground floor and first floor of the Mas‘a are beautifully arranged. If the ground floor is crowded, you may also perform Sa‘i on the first or second floor. If necessary, Sa‘i may also be performed on the roof, but care must be taken to ensure that your Sa‘i remains within the Mas‘a. If Sa‘i is performed somewhere far outside the Mas‘a, it is not valid.
