Safa

Mount Safa is located 130 metres southeast of the Holy Ka'bah. Safa is a small hill over which a dome has now been built, while a portion of the hill has still been left exposed. The remaining part has been paved. Once you ascend from the level ground onto this raised paved section, you will be considered to have ascended Safa. The Holy Ka'bah can still be seen from a specific place on Mount Safa.

Marwah

A small hill of hard white stone. It is located 300 metres northeast of the Holy Ka'bah. At present, the Holy Ka'bah cannot be seen from Marwah. A small portion of Marwah has been left exposed. The remaining part has been paved and covered.
