After completing these three acts—stoning the pebbles, slaughtering the hady, and shaving or shortening the hair—he should perform ghusl, apply perfume, put on stitched clothing, and proceed toward the Sacred Ka‘bah. Wearing normal clothing and applying perfume before Tawaf al-Ifadah is Sunnah. ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said,
«كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رسول اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لإحْرَامِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوْفَ الْبَيْتَ».
‘I used to apply perfume to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for his ihram before he entered into ihram, and before Tawaf when he was becoming free from ihram.’[1]
He should perform Tawaf in exactly the same manner as he did when performing ‘Umrah initially. That is, he should begin Tawaf from al-Hajar al-Aswad. However, there is no ramal or idtiba‘ in this Tawaf.
After completing Tawaf, he should perform two rak‘ahs of salah. If it is not possible to do so in front of Maqam Ibrahim, he may perform it anywhere. After the salah, it is recommended to drink Zamzam water, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did so.[2]
After Tawaf, he should perform sa‘i between Safa and Marwah in exactly the same manner as he did previously during ‘Umrah.[3]

[3]. According to Abu Hanifah (may Allah have mercy on him), performing this sa‘i is wajib. However, most of the noble Companions and imams regarded it as fard. This is the preferred opinion.
